Building design contracts are only little discussed compared to contracts for services. Due to the special nature of building design works, it entails several specific issues, although it is also a contract for services that is concluded with the designer. Specific issues include, among others, copyrights and the liability of designer.

The training is addressed to designers and those ordering building design works. Problems discussed at the training include delivery and receipt of building design, as well as copyright issues – what rights are transferred to the contracting authority and what rights are not transferred, also what copyright-related agreements do the contracting authority and designer need. It is also discussed whether it is possible to reuse a design, as well as whether the contracting authority has the right to modify the design or a building that is built according to it.

The training takes place on 13th December 2019 at Tammsaare Ärikeskus (A.H. Tammsaare tee 47, Tallinn) from 10.00 to 13.15.

The training is organised by Law Firm ALTERNA’s good cooperation partner Addenda.

Addenda OÜ also issues a certificate for those who pass the training. The training gives 3 TP (engineering professional development points).
