Law Firm ALTERNA’s attorney-at-law and partner Siret Siilbek is writing about claiming pay for performing owner supervision of construction work in cases where construction work is not completed within deadline and thus, the person performing owner supervision is involved with the object for a longer time than agreed.

This question was lately addressed by the Supreme Court of Estonia in its decision No 2-16-7999 from 23 April 2018. The Supreme Court found that in cases where the owner supervision has been agreed only for certain phases of construction work and the construction work fails to end on agreed time, then the person performing owner supervision does not have the right to claim additional pay.
