International human rights day is celebrated on 10.12.2021. For that day our colleagues Annika Vait and Kristena Paalmäe contributed to the Estonian Human Rights Centre’s report.
The report published an article written by Annika and Kristena “Prohibition of torture, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment”.
This article addresses the trends of Estonian legal landscape in the years 2020-2021. The article gives an overview of the situation of human rights in detention facilities and psychiatric facilities. The article also covered court practice about the rights of detainees and persons in custody.
